Integrated Payroll Management: Total Human Capital Management
Solutions
A
flexible and scalable solution, EnterpriseOne UK Payroll will give
you control over your payroll processing requirements. Built
specifically for UK companies, the EnterpriseOne solution
streamlines payroll processes to reduce time and improve payroll
accuracy. The UK localisation can be used optionally with the JD
Edwards Human Resources suite, providing an exceptional,
functionally rich Human Capital Management system. Or, indeed, for
smaller scale HR requirements, the BMS HR solution provides
organisations with the ability to manage with ease their employee
and subcontractor base. The BMS applications suite provides a highly
efficient, and cost-effective method of operating payroll within a
JD Edwards environment. Furthermore, with the recent addition of CIS
for the construction industry, with the same software suite,
companies can pay subcontractors and file month-end CIS returns.

Providing the
Tools for Regulatory Compliance
The solution includes a flexible payroll
engine giving you the ability to handle pay and deduction elements
to suit the specific needs of your business: there is no restriction
on the number of pay elements that you can use; you have the ability
to include or exclude each pay element in calculations for pro rata
of employer's costs and you can flag pay elements as percentages of
other pay elements allowing you ultimate flexibility. The
EnterpriseOne solution caters for the wide-ranging needs of
companies with complex and varied pension contribution rules. It
automatically calculates retrospective pay, advance pay and back
pay, holiday, occupational and statutory sickness payments,
maternity, paternity and adoption pay.
Issuing Timely and
Accurate Payments to Employees
UK Payroll is designed to help you make
timely and accurate payments to your employees. You can easily
define pay dates, calculate numerous voluntary deductions (such as
life insurance, share save schemes and club membership schemes) and
calculate involuntary deductions such as court orders and student
loans.
UK Payroll is flexible allowing you to run payroll for as many
employees, payrolls and companies as you require. An unlimited
number of employees can be attached to each payroll, and you can run
payrolls on any frequency: weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and
monthly. You have the flexibility of being able to run the payroll
cycle for a single employee, groups of employees or all employees on
a payroll. You can save manual data input via the system's bulk
update options for tax code, rate and salary changes.
Besides streamlining payroll, UK Payroll also helps you track
important information about your employees that affects payroll,
such as absence time, overtime and complex shift patterns. The UK
Payroll comes with a fully integrated timesheet system built for
speed entry, allowing time to be entered for a range of employees by
business unit or work order. Hours worked and absence time can be
entered against pre-configured time types, so that time entered for
an employee will be calculated automatically for both payroll and
billing purposes.

Payroll
processing can be a time-consuming and complex job.
Besides being hindered by increasingly complex statutory
requirements, Payroll staff members must also be able to administer
and track the numerous variables that can affect payroll and
reporting, including: holidays, sickness, termination pay, salary
increases, allowances, bonuses and overtime. For many organisations,
payroll processing becomes an overwhelming burden that costs too
much and prevents your staff from focusing on other potentially more
strategic activities.
Benefiting from
Integration
UK Payroll integrates easily with the
rest of your EnterpriseOne modules: Human Resources, Foundation,
Finance and Billing. Changes to employee HR information are
reflected throughout the system, ensuring accurate payroll records
driven from HR and costed to your general ledger at different option
levels: payroll, pay element or employee level, with the ability to
post in detail or in summary. You can also create payment groups for
Accounts Payable to pay the Inland Revenue, pension companies and
any other body requiring payment as a result of payroll processing.
